Take Time for School Breakfast in Lancaster County
One of Hunger-Free Lancaster’s big strategies in ensuring that everyone gets enough to eat is expanding school breakfast options for kids in Lancaster County’s 16 public school districts.
A healthy breakfast at school makes a big difference to all kids. This is especially true for children who experience hunger. Kids who eat healthy meals perform better at school.
Here’s a great video featuring the Hunger-Free Lancaster County Schools Committee Chair Dr. Jill Koser, Principal at Fulton Elementary Community School in Lancaster City. She’s joined by David Lloyd, the Youth Programs Manager at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and former Food Service Director at the Harrisburg School District.
Please feel free to use this video at your school or on your website. Be sure to let us know how we can help you expand the availability of healthy breakfasts at your school!
