Year Three Report | September 2018
Hunger-Free Lancaster County, comprised of more than 30 local and regional organizations, is committed to one mission: building a hunger-free Lancaster County by creating a nutritious, accessible, and sustainable food system.
Today, our coalition is eager to share highlights from our third year.
Some notable accomplishments from this year:
- Food Insecurity Lancaster’s food insecurity number when we started was 11.4% (59,280 people). Today that number is down to 9.8% (52,160 people).
- Focus on Fresh Foods Our goal is not simply filling bellies; Hunger-Free Lancaster County is committed to ensuring that everyone is able to get healthy meals.
- Extending our Goals Originally planned to end in 2018, we are extending our mission and recommitting our goals through the end of 2020.
